Tribology

The Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencia y Tecnología de Superficies y Materiales A.C. and the Mexican Society of Tribologists are pleased to invite you to participate in the Symposium of Tribology which will be part of the V International Conference on Surfaces, Materials and Vacuum 2012.

Tribology is the science of all interacting surfaces which are in relative motion, and it is the core aspect of energy-efficient machines, low maintenance energy systems, the operation of microelectromechanical devices, as well as, the efficacy and performance of Biomaterials, etc. It has been demonstrated that an understanding of the tribology of complex and simple systems is the key to reducing energy consumption and increase the efficiency by; improving the wear resistance of surfaces, better lubrication methods, optimisation of the geometry of components, and the study of the complete Tribosystem.

The scope of the Simposium of Tribology is aimed to cover all the aspects of the Tribology in México and abroad, and we hope to be able to actively promote the exchange of information and to create the links between the researchers working in the Tribology field. The organizers invite you to submit your contributions to this new event.
