Hotel Accommodation

The "IV Conference on Surfaces, Materials and Vacuum" and the "Specialist Meeting on Carbon" will be held in the Conference Centre of the Hotel Krystal, Puerto Vallarta.  This four and half-star hotel has very complete installations which will allow us to not only satisfactorily carry out our conference but will also provide a comfortable and luxurious place to stay on the edge of the Banderas Bay. After careful consideration we decided to opt for the “all-inclusive” option offered by the hotel. We found that the hotel room rates, for Puerto Vallarta, are not excessive especially since all food and drink is included. Cheaper hotels are available in downtown Puerto Vallarta but when you add the costs of transport, food and drink, we think you will come to the same conclusion as we did; that is, that the Hotel Krystal is an excellent choice, especially for people who wish to share a room.

Additionally, if you are staying in the Krystal the refreshments and snacks provided during the coffee breaks are included. Similarly, with the payment of the conference inscription the hotel guests will also be able to enjoy the welcome cocktail party, the Gala Banquet and a number of other benefits, which will be announced as details become available. Those of you who decided to stay in one of the other hotels in Puerto Vallarta will be asked to cover the costs of the coffee breaks, party and banquet during the conference registration procedure. Altogether, we think that a stay in the Hotel Krystal will be very enjoyable and really is the best choice. Certainly, the conference centre is exactly what we need for a successful meeting.
For all of the above reasons we actively recommend that you reserve a room in the Krystal Hotel as soon as possible. In this way, the members of the Mexican Society of Surface Science and Technology and Materials can enjoy the many benefits related to use of the Krystal Hotel for our conference.
It is very important that the room reservations be made using the Hotel "reservation form" that you can download from this page. When you have completed the reservation form, you should send it to the hotel address indicated in the “reservation form”, and send a copy to Diana Garcia (diana.garcia@smctsm.org.mx).  Similarly, if you have any problems please contact Diana and she will help you with the reservation process.
It is important, to emphasize that in order for us, the Society members, to be able to use the hotel conference centre and enjoy the other benefits, it is necessary that you only make the hotel reservation through the procedure described above.
